We’re looking for a personality plus, energetic and dynamic performer with local, national and political content to join our air staff on a part-time, per-diem basis and be heard over our four station conservative-talk AM network including the legendary WDRC AM 1360. Multitasking with attention to detail is crucial, as is a mile-long list of interesting contacts and the desire to be heard and solve the world’s problems in an entertaining way behind the mic. If you’re an individual with an outgoing personality, who can work well independently and enjoys meeting new people, then we have an exciting job opening just for you! We have a part time opening in our Promotions Department. In this position you’ll help coordinate set up at station events, and assist during promotions. This position is for someone who has a lot of energy and enjoys person to person interaction. It’s fun, fast paced and an important part of the promotions department. Applicants must have a valid drivers license. Some heavy lifting is required.
For eligibility, applicants must be: a college Junior or Senior with a sincere interest in broadcasting, or a student in a technical program studying communications, available to work at least two days a week during the Fall/Spring semester and at least three days a week during the summer. Internships are for college credit ONLY. Internships are available in the following departments: Programming, Production, News, Sales and Promotions. Applicants should be outgoing, detail oriented, organized, professional in appearance and able to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
