BROADCAST HOST, TALK RADIO

Do you live for radio? Are you a self-proclaimed newshound with a knack for getting the inside scoop? The TALK of Connecticut wants to hear from you! We’re looking for a personality plus, energetic and dynamic performer with local, national and political content to join our air staff on a part-time, per-diem basis and be heard over our four station conservative-talk AM network including the legendary WDRC AM 1360. Multitasking with attention to detail is crucial, as is a mile-long list of interesting contacts and the desire to be heard and solve the world’s problems in an entertaining way behind the mic. Part-Time Promotions Assistant

If you’re an individual with an outgoing personality, who can work well independently and enjoys meeting new people, then we have an exciting job opening just for you!  We have a part time opening in our Promotions Department.  In this position you’ll help coordinate set up at station events, and assist during promotions. This position is for someone who has a lot of energy and enjoys person to person interaction. It’s fun, fast paced and an important part of the promotions department. Applicants must have a valid drivers license. Some heavy lifting is required.    


General Internships

For eligibility, applicants must be: a college Junior or Senior with a sincere interest in broadcasting, or a student in a technical program studying communications, available to work at least two days a week during the Fall/Spring semester and at least three days a week during the summer. Internships are for college credit ONLY. Internships are available in the following departments: Programming, Production, News, Sales and Promotions. Applicants should be outgoing, detail oriented, organized, professional in appearance and able to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.

Website/Digital Internship
Buckley Radio, CT is looking for qualified candidates to intern with our Digital team.
 
If you’re looking forward to a career as a webmaster, web designer or audio/video editor and are interested in our unique, radio-centric work environment, this opportunity is for you. As a member of the Digital team, you’ll gain valuable experience working with many aspects of internet media – graphic design, audio editing, hosting, webpage layout and coding, and content management systems for our popular, high traffic websites. You’ll also discover how a webmaster functions as part of a business environment. A website / digital intern will need moderate working knowledge of audio editing and html.
 
Internships are unpaid and must be for college credit. Previous webmaster or radio experience is NOT required in order to be considered. Applicants must have at least 3 weekly availabilities during business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.) If you’re looking for your break into the ever-expanding web career field, we want to hear from you. Build a great portfolio and get important, real world experience!
