BRAD DAVIS MORNING SHOW SCHEDULE: SEPTEMBER 14TH

BRAD DAVIS MORNING SHOW SCHEDULE: SEPTEMBER 14TH

Wrap up your week with legendary Brad Davis! Here’s what we’ve got coming up on this Friday morning edition of the Brad Davis Show:

– Fox News Affiliate Erin Erenberg, CEO and Founder of Totum Women will talk about Hurricane Florence. Just as Hurricane Florence closes in on the Southeast, the area covered by hurricane-force winds has doubled — meaning far more people will get blasted with winds 74 mph or greater. By late Thursday afternoon, the Carolina coasts expected winds topping 80 mph. What also makes Florence extremely dangerous are the deadly storm surges, mammoth coastal flooding and historic rainfall expected far inland. Florence is expected to hover over the Carolinas, whipping hurricane-force winds and dumping relentless rain at least through Saturday.

– Senator Tony Hwang who co-chairs the legislature’s housing committee will talk about Connecticut’s outmigration trend has cost the state in revenue as higher income residents have left and been replaced by those making on average $30,000 less per year, according to a report by the Commission on Fiscal Stability and Economic Growth. Connecticut’s outmigration among its wealthiest residents spiked in 2015, coinciding with the state’s last major tax increase. The largest group of tax filers leaving the state earned over $200,000 per year, according to the Internal Revenue Service. Meanwhile, Connecticut has seen the slowest increase in home values in the country between 2012 and 2017.

– Venton Forbes, will talk about the Pillar Community First Step to Better Living Health Fair and Walk-A-Thon coming up on September 22nd.

– RSVP Program Manager, Theresa Strong, will talk about CRT’s Free Medical Transportation Program for Seniors Expands to Windsor Locks, Suffield. The Community Renewal Team (CRT) manages a volunteer program for retired seniors, known as RSVP, and one of the services offered through that program provides seniors with free round-trip transportation from their homes to medical appointments and back again. RSVP is now expanding its medical transportation service that provides door-to-door-to-door service for seniors in need of rides to medical appointments. This expansion is thanks in part to funding provided by the towns of Suffield and Windsor Locks. CRT is now operating the free medical transportation service in the following towns: Berlin, New Britain, Southington, Suffield, & Windsor Locks. While the RSVP drivers can take passengers all over the state of Connecticut, the passengers must be from one of those five communities to use this free service. CRT hopes to be able to expand this service to other communities in the coming months.
