Interested applicants will submit videos 2 minutes or less of them performing a talent to The TALK of Connecticut Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/talkofct on Monday, March 18 at 11am – Thursday, March 28th at 11:59pm. Submission of your video is an automatic entry into the contest. Once submitted, the video becomes property of The TALK of Connecticut. The contest may be extended and/or suspended by Buckley Radio for any reasons that they deem acceptable.
Buckley Radio will select contestants to compete in the first round of competition at Zandri’s Stillwood Inn, 1074 South Colony Rd, Wallingford, CT on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 6pm-8pm. From these contestants a number of them will then be chosen by Buckley Radio to compete in the finals on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6pm – 8pm at Villa Capri, 906 North Colony Rd, Wallingford. 1 finalist will be selected the Grand Prize Winner and be awarded the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize is two prizes: The opportunity to perform on Fox Connecticut Morning News on Thursday, June 14th, the day after the finals (Performance Time TBD) and you will be the Opening Act for Chicago at The Toyota Presents Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CT on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Winner will perform in the area known as the Dome at The Toyota Presents Oakdale Theater. (Performance Time TBD). Grand Prize Winner will have no access to the main or backstage areas. Grand Prize Winner is responsible for all transportation to all event competition venues, to and from the Fox Connecticut Studios and to and from The Toyota Presents Oakdale Theater.
