  • A former East Hartford public school student is sticking by President Trump's education secretary Betsy DeVos. Michael Robert Biagioni criticized East Hartford's public school system and his criticism was used by DeVos to advocate for more charter schools. That led to a public display by East Hartford teachers and Gov. Malloy, protesting the comments made by DeVos and Biagioni. Well now, Biagioni is speaking out again.

  • When President Donald Trump announced that he was pulling the U.S. out of the Paris accords, involving climate change, Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy was among those critical of the move. As head of the Democratic Governor's Association, the governor stated: "Our president effectively signed the death warrants of individuals who will die because we will not make progress on climate change."
