  • Connecticut U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, silent throughout the controversy over NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem, has now entered the fray. In a tweet, the state's junior senator called Vice President Pence walking out of Sunday's NFL game - where 20 San Francisco players knelt during the anthem - a "multi-million dollar political stunt paid for by taxpayers."
