Brad Davis

For more than 50 years Brad Davis has been one of Southern New England’s premier radio and television personalities. Known for his community involvement, Brad was among the first to rally support for veterans, the homeless and the hungry and he continues to devote countless hours giving back to the community, especially the children of Bloomfield. Brad came to Hartford and made his debut on WTIC-TV Channel 3 on September 28, 1958.  The Brad Davis Show was patterned after American Bandstand and was sponsored by Connecticut Milk For Health.  Brad was originally signed for 13 weeks – the show ran until 1969.  In 1969 Brad teamed with John Sablon for “What’s Happening”, an investigative news program.  That show ran until 1977.  During that time the show won a Columbia-Dupont Award for “The 9 Year Old in Norfolk Prison.”  What’s Happening also won an Emmy for the same investigative report.  The show also won the Ohio State Award for “Scandal Rides the Ambulance”, The Scrip – Harvard Award and the “Silver Gavel Award for, Hunger in Connecticut”.

In 1977 Brad moved to WDRC Radio, where he has been doing the morning program ever since.
