Coalition wants sprinklers mandated in homes

The Connecticut Code and Standards Committee is set to vote on a proposal that would mandate installation of fire sprinklers in all new construction of one and two family homes.

On Friday's Brad & Dan Show, Keith Flood, Fire Marshall for the West Haven Fire Department and chair of the CT Fire Sprinkler Coalition will explain why such a requirement is needed.

Gov. Malloy is considering taking education cost sharing grant money earmarked for small towns and diverting the funds to large cities. Sen. Toni Boucher, R-26th District, will explain why this is not a good idea.
