
A Springfield man was found guilty in connection to a 1984 cold-case kidnapping and assault in Avon. Yesterday officials announced a Hartford Superior Court jury George Legre has been convicted of the crime after new DNA evidence was presented.
Yesterday members of the House unanimously voted on a bill to prevent wrong-way crashes. This comes after state Representative Quinten “Q” Williams was killed by a wrong-way driver. The bill will add warning signs and lights to 120 highway exit ramps, install rumble strips, and push a public awareness campaign.
Eversource bills are set to go down starting on July 1st. Officials filed a new Standard Service rate stating that the rate for residential customers will change from 24.17 cents per kWh to 13.82 cents. Eversource says the average customer will save $56 per month.
