An 18 year old from New Britain has been arrested in connection to a Bristol shooting. Officers say 18 year old Jeremy Mercedez was taken into custody Wednesday. He is facing multiple charges connected to a shooting on Pardee Street on May 4th.

Police are investigating after a moped driver was struck by a car in New Britain late Wednesday night. Officers were called to the area of North and Oak Streets after the crash was reported. The moped driver was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

Alcohol will be banned at seven recreation areas in Connecticut this summer in an effort to cut down on trespassing and illegal activity. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has re-imposed its alcohol ban effective Friday, June 9th through September 6th at multiple locations throughout the state.

A Windham man was arrested earlier this week after he allegedly asked a juvenile inappropriate questions during driving lessons. 36 year old Theodore Ohanlon is accused of asking the driving student about her virginity and drug use. Ohanlon also allegedly looked up the student’s address on her permit and entered it into a GPS.
