
Police have identified the person who died after an attempted marijuana robbery that happened in Hartford late Tuesday night as a UCONN student. Officers were called to High Street after a crash was reported and found 18 year old Zaid Deje Langs-Meyers on Windsor with gunshot wounds.
Police in Southington are looking for a man who is accused of robbing a Southington gas station late Tuesday night. Authorities were called to the Mobil Gas Station on Meriden Waterbury Turnpike after it was reported that a man pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call police.
Rocky Hill Police are investigating after several gunshots were fired outside of a hotel on Tuesday night. Officers were called to the Holiday Inn Express on Waterchase Drive and found bullet casings in the parking lot. No injuries were reported.
Governor Ned Lamont has signed legislation that declares Juneteenth, June 19th, as a legal holiday in Connecticut. Officials say that Juneteenth Independence day is the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the country.
