Police in East Hartford arrested a man who allegedly entered a Whitney Street home through a bedroom window last week and sexually assaulted a victim. Officers say one victim fought the suspect while the other fled the bedroom. The suspect eventually left the scene. Officers have arrested 31-year-old Tyonne Pierce of East Hartford in connection to the crime. 
 
 

Police arrested a Windsor man in connection to an investigation into a suspicious call regarding Bradley International airport. Officers say they learned 31 year old Martel Davis made the call and noted that he had two active warrants for his arrest. Davis allegedly fought with troopers resulting in the troopers sustaining minor injuries. 
 
 
Investigators have determined that the fire that damaged a commercial building in Bloomfield was intentionally set. Crews were called to the building on West Newberry Road Monday after someone passing by reported the fire. No one was injured.
 

Yesterday during a news conference Attorney General William Tong announced that he launched a consumer protection investigation into the failure of Kia and Hyundai to protect their vehicles from theft. Tong said that these cars made between 2011 and 2022 were made without anti-theft devices or technology

 


A former CNN television producer from Connecticut who had pleaded guilty to luring a 9-year-old girl into illegal sexual acts was sentenced yesterday  to more than 19 years in prison and an additional 15 years of supervised release during a U.S. District Court hearing in Vermont. John Griffin pleaded guilty to charges in federal court in December.
