
Yesterday Senate republicans unveiled their budget plan making this the fourth budget proposal on the table for lawmakers to vote on. Lawmakers are slated to vote on a budget in less than a month. Republicans are proposing larger tax cuts than Governor Ned Lamont, who presented his proposal in February.
The Department of Consumer Protection said that there were $21 million in sales of legal cannabis in Connecticut in April. Of the $21 million, $11.4 million in sales was for medical marijuana and $10.2 million was for adult recreation.
Connecticut’s COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Declaration expires today and Governor Ned Lamont said yesterday that he will let the declaration end. It began during the immediate onset of the pandemic on March 10th 2020.
