Police in East Hartford are investigating after a woman was found dead while they were conducting a welfare check. Officers were called to 10 Martin Circle early yesterday morning and found a woman who was pronounced dead on scene as the result of extreme physical violence. Authorities say it was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
Authorities have suspended the search for a former East Hartford police officer who went missing Friday in the Bahamas. Ryan Proulx was last seen at 6:15 p.m. Friday while free diving near Bimini Inlet in the Bahamas. The search was suspended on Sunday.
Police in Hartford have identified the man who died after a hit and run on Edwards Street Friday morning. Officers say 49 year old Jose Concepcion of New Britain was found in the road after being struck and was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later. Authorities are still searching for the car involved.
An Ellington man was injured in the parking lot of Elicit Brewing Company in Manchester over the weekend after being stabbed while trying to break up a fight between an Uber Driver and two men. 26-year-old Yishay Brooks of Windsor and 26-year-old Malik Simmons of Vernon were arrested a short time later in connection to the incident. Police are still working to determine who stabbed the victim.
Police arrested a man who is accused of breaking into two cars at the Black Stone Pub in Southington yesterday before hitting two vehicles trying to evade police. The driver was arrested a short time after the incident, he has not been identified by authorities at this time.
