One person is in critical condition after a shooting in Hartford yesterday morning. Officers were called to the 100 block of Park Street after a Shotspotter activation. The victim who was described as a man in his 20s was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle. He is in critical, but stable condition. 

Yesterday Connecticut State Officials announced that they will be spending over $170 million to infrastructure improvements to Hartford’s water and sewer system. 12 projects will be completed, five are scheduled to start this year, six will begin next year, and one the year after that.

Police in Windsor Locks are looking to locate a missing 16 year old girl. Officers say Elizabeth “Blake” Jensen was last seen leaving her Elm Street home Wednesday June 21st. Family members say that they believe she may have left in an Uber. Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call police. 

Yesterday the Vatican announced the next Archbishop of Hartford. Officials said that the Most Reverend Christopher J. Coyne who served as Bishop of Burlington Vermont will succeed Archbishop Leonard P. Blair when he retires in 2024. 

AAA is predicting a record number of people who are expected to travel during the upcoming July 4th weekend. In Connecticut AAA is predicting almost 664,000 residents will travel 50 miles or more from home, which would be the highest on record. 50.7 million Americans are expected to travel.
