The 65^515 seat Paycor Stadium on the banks of the Ohio River is home to the NFL Cincinnati Bengals and hosts concerts and other special events. Cincinnati^ OH^ USA - March 17^ 2024:

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will miss the majority of the 2025 NFL season after he reportedly undergoes surgery on his toe.

According to a post on X from ESPN’s Adam Schefter (citing sources): “Bengals QB Joe Burrow will need toe surgery that will sideline him a minimum of three months.”

Burrow suffered the injury while being sacked by Arik Armstead in the second quarter of the Bengals’ 31-27 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. Burrow was seen limping off the field, and was helped back to the locker room by the training staff. Burrow later appeared on crutches and with a walking boot following an MRI. According to ESPN, foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson is overseeing Burrow’s case.

Before his exit, Burrow completed 7 of 13 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s game. Veteran backup Jake Browning went on to take over for Burrow, and delivered a late game-winning score – completing 21 of 32 attempts for 241 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions, including the game-winning 1-yard touchdown run with just 18 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The Bengals are 2-0 after Sunday’s win against Jacksonville.

Burrow had season-ending injuries in 2020 (knee) and 2023 (wrist) that caused him to miss a combined 13 games. Ahead of the 2023 campaign, he played through a calf injury which he suffered in training camp.
