Senate Minority Leader Len Fasano joins Gary Byron to talk about the upcoming special session, what he foresees for this summer, as well as his take on riots and bringing down statues.
Gary kicked off today's show with Investigative Journalist George Colli, who discussed Ned Lamont's tree cutting scandal, and gave us an up close look at the protests at Columbia University in NYC. Then Lee Elci from our sister station on the shoreline checked in to discuss the protestors, and what to do about them. Lastly, political strategist Liz Kurantowicz to talk about the antisemitism on college campuses, the end of the legislative session, including the fact Dems voted against including letting police intervene if adults smoke in a car with kids.

Patrick Sasser joined Brad and Paul to give us an update on the fight against tolls
A proposed bill PB317 has been written by CT State Senator Eric Berthel which proposes to require insurance companies to cover bariatric surgery benefits. Despite coverage by Medicaid and Medicare in our state, the majority of private insurance plans do not offer bariatric surgery as a benefit. When the ACS was passed by Obama, the essential benefit in Connecticut was based on the current coverage by our biggest HMO: Connecticare. As a result Obamacare has NOT covered bariatric surgery. Most insurers do not and have not been forced to offer the benefit. Many of our patients have switched to Medicaid for coverage despite having good jobs. This has caused a burden to taxpayers. State employees also have bariatric surgery coverage. Darren Tishler spoke to Brad and Paul about it
